Kuwait Dophinarium

This project was managed by the John S. Bonnington Partnership (JSBP, http://www.jsbp.com/index.htm), a large British firm of architects, planners and engineers that employed about a hundred architects on various Middle Eastern projects and operated from Tyttenhanger House, a Georgian mansion in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Peter Kabaila was in the team of eight people responsible for the design, documentation and detailing of the whole project, and personally designed and drew the water feature courtyard, intertidal pool exhibit, killer whale holding pools and all of the glazing details. The innovative design, employed a space frame that supported Teflon-coated shading sails suspended over Salmiya Island, created by reclaimed land.
